The Encyclopedia Knoxensis contains, among other things, some tables with grade distributions---how many got A, A-, B+, etc---broken down by department. I wrote up a quick little script to process this into a more visual format where you can see the bell curves. I didn't run all of them through, but if you're curious, drop me a line and I'll be happy to run some of the others.
Each graphic includes a bar for each grade and a line for two averages. Each bar is scaled so that the most common grade is full height. The first average, shown in blue, is the weighted average of all grades in the range A+ to D-, i.e. excluding anyone who failed or withdrew from the course. The second average, in red, is the weighted average of everyone who took the course, including those who withdrew; this was for me a somewhat more useful average than the more conventional average (which excludes Ws), since many students withdraw because they are failing the course. (Useful for a department average, that is---I certainly don't mean to argue that Ws should affect a student's GPA!)
