In Memoriam: My Father - John F. McAndrew (1924-2008)

My father was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and a career military man who was in the D-Day invasion on his 20th birthday.  He spent most of his working life on active duty full-time with the Pennsylvania National Guard, and he was honored by being appointed as the first Chief Warrant Officer W5 in the U.S. army.  The picture below was taken at work not long before he retired in the mid 1980s
