You are expected to be involved in the whole life of the school the same way certified teachers are. That means helping with extra-curricular stuff, attending open houses and parents' nights, participating in after-school or before-school tutoring, and other events that are important to your students. (For instance, show up at fund-raisers, sponsor clubs, go to sporting competitions, etc.) Include a narrative in your portfolio that not only explains what you participated in, but also what you got out of the experiences. Include pictures and/or copies of brochures and the like. (Remember not to put things in your portfolio that personally identify individual students.)
