Mystery Raptors

Raptor perched in riparian vegetation in the central Serengeti.
This bird was
identified tentatively as an Ayre's Hawk-Eagle, but does not seem to
match illustrations
of that species very closely. Any alternative opinions are
welcomed: e-mail
me.

Another (slightly better?) image of the same individual.

A third shot of the same bird, showing nape.

A different bird this time - a large raptor perched in savannah habitat
in Tarangire National Park,
mid-August 2003. This bird was tentatively identified as an
African Hawk-Eagle, but again
does not seem to closely match plumages I have seen illustrated.
If you can confirm or deny this
ID, please e-mail
me.
